Sales Director

The Sales Director is responsible for exceeding the agreed order and revenue targets across the product and services portfolio.


Reporting to the Head of Sales with a matrix relationship with the Client Business Executive (CBE). The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key employees in their allocated accounts, as well as for growing and developing sales of products and services within those accounts. This position requires a combination of: proven sales experience within large accounts, experience in closing large complex software deals, leadership, negotiation skill, enthusiasm, and team working. The ability to interpret the accounts vision, to promote complex business solutions, to develop & action the go to market plan, to work diligently to achieve and exceed the account goals are key to success of this position.

This position requires a tight cooperation and alignment with the Presales team and experience in coordination of cross matrix teams and good leadership skills in matrix organisations are of high importance

Candidate Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

  • *A minimum of 7 years professional sales, sales management and/or account management experience in software, technology solutions or system integration sales to the telecom industry.
  • *Proven ability to form relationships with Executives (VP, C Level) at telco companies.
  • *Proven track record of closing large complex deals
  • *Experience in the Integrated Customer Management (ICM) products areas preferred, including: marketing, sales, ordering, delivery, fulfillment, billing, settlement, service, support, and analytics.
  • *Evidence of over-achievement and consistent attainment of challenging targets required, with experience of successfully negotiating complex deals where order values have exceeded $10 million.
  • *Strong team experience, specifically demonstrating effectiveness within a matrix organisation where highly developed influencing skills are required.
  • *Secures buy-in, with a collaborative approach to building relationships and meeting account objectives.
  • *Highly results & delivery-oriented. Meets commitments.
  • *Possesses excellent presentation, oral communication and communication skills in English. Communicates effectively at various levels of the organisation.
  • *Self motivated, confident and determined with a strong drive for success. o Gravitas, personable and makes a positive and memorable impact.
  • *Academic qualification to the degree level preferred, but not mandatory.
